Thomas Tweh worked with 16 trained mediators to give one of Liberia’s poorest, most densely populated townships access to justice. The West Point Community Justice Team coordinates with the local court and police force to resolve disputes through mediation by trusted community members. They have solved over 100 cases, saving citizens thousands of dollars and many days worth of time. The team was especially instrumental in defusing tension and preventing escalation of conflict during Ebola quarantines.
