Baltimore, September 20 – Accountability Lab is pleased to announce the selection of its Founder and Executive Director, Blair Glencorse, as recipient of the Global Achievement Award from Johns Hopkins University.

This prestigious award reflects the university’s gratitude and appreciation to those alumni who epitomize its tradition of excellence, bringing credit to Johns Hopkins in the international arena through their professional achievements or humanitarian service.

A statement from Johns Hopkins University described the “leadership and vision” Glencorse has demonstrated as “a source of great pride” to the institution.

Glencorse was pleased to be recognised for the work he has done in trying to advance accountability and integrity: “I am truly honored to accept this award. The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies experience and community have had such a defining influence on my understanding of the world and how to create change. I am grateful for this recognition and it will encourage me to continue pushing for more fair, just and accountable systems.”

The celebration of Glencorse’s award will take place on two occasions. Firstly, he will be presented with the award individually on a date to be determined. Then the Accountability Lab Founder will join the other 2019 award recipients at an Annual Dinner organised by the university’s Alumni Council. This will take place on October 4, 2019 at the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.

Founded in 1876, Johns Hopkins University is considered the first research university in the United States. Over the course of more than 140 years, 37 Nobel laureates and 1 Fields Medallist have been affiliated with Johns Hopkins.
